How to get to TuneIn? (when it's too late)

TuneIn closed submissions on May 31st 2018, Apple did the same with their platform about that time.

I wonder does there any way to get your station on TuneIn nowadays?
The only way I can think off is to find "dead" station account owner and ask them to give it to you. To be honest I tried it, but was not patient enough with my research.

Any ideas?

I have red lots of people complaining about that and one solution is contact old owners no more interested in doing radio. It's a hard task, you may search in some radio forum or on Facebook dedicated radio group. But when you find one it's likely he could ask for money and maybe lots of money, good luck!

This is indeed an issue. I spent a bunch of time looking for "internet radio stations for sale", and paid some cash to purchase one that was idle, but already registered with TuneIn. I'm in the process of re-branding (and will have a new station ID in a couple of months). Fortunately, TuneIn allows existing stations to update their listing (vs adding new ones).

So, like me, I suggest you look for one you can buy. I didn't pay a fortune - just non-zero.

Unfortunately, TuneIn are definitely closed to new station submissions; I presume this is part of their transition into podcasting services. We have attempted to contact TuneIn to arrange a mutual partnership, however we have not been able to engage with them as of yet; fingers crossed for the future.

As a couple of people have mentioned, the only way does seem to be to purchase a previous station and change the listing. However, it is unclear as to how long TuneIn will support this practice for.

We're on Tunein I'm so glad because I think it's a life line for a lot of stations. I wonder why there not adding new stations. Maybe because of management. It is a shame for those that can't get on it

My guess is that they have more than enough stations running :) itunes did the same. It's quality over quantity

Guys, do you track how much traffic (hits and TLH) do you get from TuneIn? I still wonder if it worth hassling to find a dead station account or not..
